The weather has been miserable for the past several months. Sometimes I doubted if summer would ever arrive this year. Luckily, we did have a nice sunny day for Glen's 3 year old birthday party last weekend. ^_^~ Same as before, only families were invited because I preferred not to throw a big fussy party for kids.
Sun blushed tomatoes , olives and feta cheese salad.Method:
Break the cheese and tomatoes into a bowl. Mix it with olives and sprinkle the salad with olive oil and Italian mixed herbs. Very simple and delicious!
(做法: 將番茄乾, 醃橄欖, Feta 起司 撕碎, 放進大碗中,灑些橄欖油與意式混合香料拌勻即可)
Mango ,cucumber and tomato salsa.Method:
Dice a mango, half a cucumber , a tomato and a chili . Mix them well in a bowl with a tablespoon of soy sauce, a tablespoon of honey, 1 teaspoon of ground ginger ,juice from half a lemon, salt and pepper and a few drops of toasted sesame oil . It is light and fruity and it goes really well with chicken and fish.

(做法: 將芒果,小黃瓜, 番茄去籽切小丁. 加入一湯匙醬油,一湯匙蜂蜜, 一茶匙薑末, 半顆檸檬汁, 適量的鹽與胡椒,幾滴香油攪拌均勻即可. 搭配雞肉或海鮮都很適合哦! *_^)
Red wine and herbs marinated lamb kebabs.(酒香羊肉串)Method:
Cube the lamb. Mix together 50cc red wine, 2 teaspoons of fennel seeds, 1 teaspoon of paprika,
1 teaspoon of dried parsley, 1 teaspoon of ground black pepper, 1 teaspoon of sea salt, 1 teaspoon of garlic puree, juice from half a lemon. Marinate the lamb in the red wine mix overnight. Thread the lamb, vegetables, and dried apricots into skewers and grill.
(做法:將 茴香籽兩茶匙, 乾燥香菜一茶匙 (PARSLEY) , 甜椒粉一茶匙 (PAPRIKA),黑胡椒粒一茶匙 粗鹽一茶匙, 蒜末一茶匙, 紅酒兩湯匙混合均勻. 羊肉切塊用以上的醃料醃漬隔夜.串起即可.)
Spicy chunky steak kebabs (香辣牛肉串)Method:
Cube the fillet steak. Mix together 2 teaspoons of mustard seeds, 1 teaspoon of onion seeds,
1 teaspoon of chili flakes, 1 teaspoon of paprika, 1 teaspoon of ground black pepper, 1 teaspoon of sea salt and 1 teaspoon of onion puree. Rub the steak with the mixture and marinate it overnight.
Thread the steak and vegetables into skewers and grill.
(做法: 將兩茶匙芥末籽, 一茶匙洋蔥籽,一茶匙辣椒末, 一茶匙甜椒粉,一茶匙黑胡椒粉, 一茶匙粗鹽與一茶匙洋蔥末混合用來醃漬切塊的牛肉. 醃漬隔夜後串起即可.)
Satay chicken kebabs.(沙嗲雞肉串)Method:
Cube the chicken breast . Mix 2 tablespoons of peanut butter, 1 tablespoon of rice wine,
1 tablespoon of soy sauce, 1 teaspoon of garlic puree into a bowl. Rub the chicken with the
peanut butter satay mixture , thread the chicken into skewers and grill.
(做法: 將兩湯匙花生醬,一湯匙醬油, 一湯匙米酒,一茶匙蒜末混合, 抹在雞胸塊上醃漬隔夜串起即可)
